A Steam Riding Gallery

An open air gallery set up and operated by a steam engine was the invention of another carousel builder who wanted its riders to have the experience of a fresh air ride. Here, the horses are rigged to rocking mechanisms, and there are no poles, as there are on most carousels, to lift and lower horses and riders as the carousel goes around.
